Terms of Service

Jiablo ("we", "us", the "Service") is an AI-assisted resume tailoring tool operated as a sole proprietorship in California, USA. You upload your resume once; for each job description you provide, we suggest skills to add to its Skills section and compile a tailored PDF you can download.

By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old. You may not use the Service if your jurisdiction prohibits it or if you are subject to a US trade embargo (e.g., resident in a country on the OFAC SDN list). When you create an account you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

Authentication is via Google OAuth. You're responsible for the security of the Google account you sign in with and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect compromise, sign out, change your Google password, and email us.

One account per person. Don't share access credentials.

Plans are billed monthly via Stripe in US dollars. You may cancel at any time from your account page or via Stripe's customer portal; your access continues through the end of the current billing period.

7-day refund window: if you decide the Service isn't for you within 7 days of your first successful subscription charge, email support@jiablo.com and we'll refund the most recent charge. After 7 days, charges are non-refundable, but you can cancel future renewals at any time.

Tier limits: each tier has a stated daily cap on tailored resumes. We enforce these caps in code; reaching the cap pauses tailoring until 00:00 UTC, when the daily count resets.

Fair use: even within stated caps, we reserve the right to investigate and suspend accounts that exhibit clear abuse - automated scripts, generating resumes for many distinct candidates from a single account, or evading our rate limits. We'll email first if we believe this is happening.

Taxes: prices may be subject to sales tax depending on your jurisdiction; Stripe calculates and collects applicable tax at checkout.

Promotion codes and free access: promotion codes (including any that grant free or discounted access) are a marketing courtesy and may be revoked at any time. Discounts apply only to the period covered by the code.

You own your resume, the job descriptions you submit, and the generated PDFs. We don't claim ownership of your content.

You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process this content for the purpose of operating the Service: storing it, transmitting it to our LLM and infrastructure subprocessors (see Privacy Policy), compiling PDFs, and serving downloads back to you. This license also covers our right to derive de-identified, aggregated statistics (e.g., "X% of users tailor for engineering roles") and to use those statistics for any purpose, including product improvement, marketing, and sharing with third parties.

You agree not to upload resumes, job descriptions, or other content that is not yours to use or that infringes anyone else's rights.

Jiablo uses large language models to extract and rewrite text. AI output is sometimes wrong, incomplete, or stylistically off. You are responsible for reviewing every generated resume before sending it to anyone. We do not guarantee that the output will get you an interview, a callback, or a job, or that it will be free of errors.

The manual edit feature on your account page lets you fix anything the LLM gets wrong before saving.

Don't use Jiablo to:

• Misrepresent your experience, education, skills, or qualifications.
• Create resumes for a third party without their informed consent.
• Run automated requests that abuse the Service or exceed fair use.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, copy, or attempt to extract our prompts, models, or system internals.
• Attempt to bypass our rate limits, daily caps, geographic restrictions, or authentication.
• Resell, sublicense, or repackage the Service in any form without our written permission.
• Anything that violates applicable law, including export controls and sanctions.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or initiate chargebacks without contacting us first. You may close your account at any time from your account page (Danger zone -> Delete account).

Account deletion cascades to your stored resume, run history, PDFs (older than retention), and rate-limit records. We may retain aggregate statistics (such as counts and distributions) that cannot identify you individually; all personal data tied to your account is deleted.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Jiablo and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of profits, business opportunities, or data. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed by local law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to that jurisdiction and venue.

Where the law of your country grants you mandatory consumer rights that can't be waived by contract, nothing in these Terms removes those rights.

The Service is operated from the United States. By using the Service from outside the US, you understand that your information is transferred to, stored, and processed in the US and the countries where our subprocessors operate (see Privacy Policy for the current list and locations).

We may update these Terms over time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and email account holders. Continued use after the change means you agree to the new Terms. If you don't agree, your remedy is to cancel and close your account.
